2025 4runner 6th gen What is "Quality Hold" Status IMG_3171

Any idea what's taking so long for it still being at the railyard? It doesn't seem like there's QC issues since it's not on hold. The dealership is like a half day's drive. My dealer doesn't have any answers. I've already had to move so now I'll have to get it trucked across the country when it does actually arrive at the dealership.

more than likely it is just waiting to get hauled and perhaps got missed in the queue. I am in Supply Chain, not for autos, but those yards are massive and things happen. Hopefully, it heads your way soon. I have been waiting on mine for 3 months. Finally, they believe it will arrive in the next 1-2 weeks.

Thanks for the response! Yea I've left my deposit since April. I'm on a strict timely needing another vehicle for my household and with the uncertainty of this I may have to get another vehicle, otherwise my partner is stuck at home without a vehicle when I go to work. Really frustrating since I have to get it trucked across the country now adding to the time delay.

I am in the same exact situation. Deposit was done in April. Vehicle is sitting at the Portland rail yard. It says ETA Aug 12th - Sept 2nd. I already posted my rant in this thread. It is what it is. Toyota does not seem in any hurry to push out these QC vehicles, at least not enough to put some money and resources into pushing them out faster.

Yea mine was delivery date 7/14 - 7/23. I'm halfway across the country rn just twiddling my thumbs seeing all these 4runners in Phoenix. Makes me sad. I don't want to have to buy two cars in the next 3 years. I'd rather just have my 4runner and give my mazda to the gf to drive.

its on a hold status, so it wont update until its loaded on a contracted carrier to the dealership or officially put on a QC hold.

it shows hold status as of 6-27 in your pic.

you need to look at the top left transit status, not the lower right status line.

Port installed options and then waiting for a delivery truck. They dont just drive 1 finished rig to the dealer. Goes on a vehicle hauler and the hauler needs to have an efficient route/load.

Waiting for my 4Runner build to complete and ship to my dealer. I checked the status today, estimated delivery dates were no longer available. I sent a text to my dealer asking if he had insight to the status. He notified me the vehicle is on "quality hold".
Does anyone have insight to what this status implies?
Did you finally get your 4Runner ? The reason I ask is

Mine finally arrived. I decided to hold off for a 2026. Dealer was great and very understanding. They had it sold within 24 hours

I was stil waiting for mine and it has not showed up yet. The delivery date kept getting pushed back. It now says Sept 20th which is rediculous cause it was built in April and supposed to be delivered end of May. I finally found a base model 4x4 without all the port installed stuff at another dealer in stock cause someone backed out of their deal, so I was able to get it. Now I am finally driving one, and it was built in June. Toyota really dropped the ball on these QC hold vehicles. I waited over 4 months and it still never showed. Crazy. The 2026 will be out before some of these QC vehicles. They seem to put very little effort into getting them fixed and shipped IMO and never provided a single communication about why the long delay. Even the dealer is extremely frustrated because they are not told anything either.
