What is "Quality Hold" Status

Mine was on sweet pea leader - entered port 6/22 - no holds - just got notice it will be at the dealer between today and Saturday.

Yeah. Mine came into port end of April and has been on hold since…. ??‍

That’s because the ones that had been built and shipped to US up until 05/15 were. Any 4Runner built after 05/15 when they started the hold, had their own qc testing done prior to their shipment to the US. Now some still had delays at the ports due to port installed options but they really were affected by the air dam hold.

What is confusing to me is people mention the Air Dam, but there are trims that don't have the Air Dam that were also held up in QC? So are we sure its an Air Dam?

Reading through various posts I believe there is a QC Hold as well as a back order for certain accessories on specific models. Namely the JBL speaker and air compressor.

The ones without the air dam were supposedly held for other reasons. Complaints have been filed with Toyota about the rear liftgate spoiler being loose, the brake squealing etc. also at port is when the port installed items are installed and there has been a back order on both the jbl wireless speaker and the air compressor. So there is a bit of something affecting all models but the qc hold was for the front air dam.

Yeah my salesman said he heard from the district manager who said the same thing. Rumor mill is that all of ours on qc hold as of 05/15 should be off the hold in the next two weeks or so.
