TRD Sport Premium Air Dam and Skid Plate - installation questions

Looking for feedback from those that have removed the air dam - what did you do with the bolts you removed? Did you leave them out or put them back in?

I have the TRD Skid Plate arriving today, so this will be my project this afternoon. Anything special to know about the install? Is it really as simple to install as it seems?

I put the bolts back in for the air dam. This was mentioned in other threads on air dam removal.

Having a helper or scissor jack is needed iMHO for the skid plate. It’s a bit heavy to maneuver under the truck - to hold in place and locate the bolts. Other than that, it was easy. I needed 2 extra bolts on my TRD Sport as there were only four on the existing protection.

Got the air dam off and installed the skid plate. A little confusing as I had to find the two middle bolt locations and the two rear bolt locations because the middle two were not the same location as the felt plate I took off and there was no rear felt plate to remove. What made it more confusing was the bolts only twisted in a few threads before the were almost impossible to thread by fingers anymore and I wasn't sure if this was correct. Using the socket made them go in easier after a few threads. Looks great and happy with the results.

Hubby did all the mods for me. He put the bolts back in after removing the air dam. He also noted when he did the skid plate, he had to use something to hold up the back of the plate while he bolted in the front. As previously stated, it was a little heavy for him. He said having something hold up the back was a life saver.
