Toyota App - Constantly Kicked out

Has anyone else had the issue of opening up the Toyota app on iPhone only to find that the app has logged you out which then requires to sign back in and perform verification?

if so, any solution?

this literally happens to me every day when I go to remote start and it’s starting to get really annoying

I noticed when I went in to the app and added car play to the app it went haywire. Went back and changed to phone and all has been fine

I have had to go in and hit sign in and then Sign in with Apple and everything works fine. I have to di this if the vehicle sits for a day or so, otherwise works perfect

Sorry to tell you this but never trust Toyota when it comes to a service. My 2016 Rav4 Limited's radio has half the features not working because Toyota decided to go to Android/Apple on their newer vehicles. So they just stopped the service needed. Now when the gas light comes on and it asks if me if it should show the local gas stations and price nothing happens if you press yes. Over the years the service went from being a paid service, free, then nothing. Over that time it went from working ok, to working great, to being questionable, to finally ending.

It also had issues over the years where you always had to log back in. For a reasonable amount of time it just worked great. Once you started it the app would pair with the car and work. Seamless. It lasted so long that I forgot how to do it because it just worked. Chances are Toyota will fix it in time.

I switched to using the Lexus app and everything works perfect. exact same app but a different logo but you can still do everything the same

Make sure your settings on "always allow". I was having problems with mine and the app was not opening up with my iPhone face ID so I was constantly having to manually sign in and have them send me a code. Try deleting the Toyota App and opening it back up. It will remember your 4Runner and your vehicle information with phone number and email.
When you are going through the questions I skipped most everything however when it asks you to show your location choose "when using the app". It should also eventually ask you if you want it "always on" or somehting and choose that one. Now when I open my app it is already signed on. Now my doors unlock and lock with in convience mode with just my phone with me. Sometimes I have noticed that the phone has to be close to the door handle to make it work. I puchased a magSafe phone mount on Amazon that connects to the push/start button and it is very solid. For some reason I have to dock my cell phone to this so it's close to my red button and then the car recognizes the "key access" and allows me to start it.
I really don't feel like it works flawlessly 100% of the time like it should as it does when you have your fob on you. Hopefully with updates Toyota will make improvements on the app so we won't have amy future issues.
FYI, I also installed the LEXUS app and it works just like the Toyota app. Give that a try and see if for some reason it works better. It too has all of your saved infromation just like the Toyota one. You can switch back and forth and see which one is working better. Good luck!

This happens to me couple times of week. Annoying as the iOS face rec for PW requires confirming user ID and PW acknowledgement.

Anyone still experiencing issues? I switched to the Lexus app… no issues.
Would like to use the Toyota one if fixed.
