Tire gurus, can some explain why the 275’s weigh less than the 265’s? Am I missing something? Nitto Tera grapplers g3

Any downside going with 275’s ??

No idea why they list the weights like that, but you should get the LT sizes regardless. I would go w the 275 like you're thinking

The 275s are not LTs. Both tires are Standard Load (SL) Rated. The 275s just happen to be lighter than the 265s. There would only be positives to the 275s over the 265s - other than your MPG reader will be off and say your MPG is lower than it actually is due to the 275/70 being larger in diameter than the 265/70. Some might say that the wider 275 will hurt your MPG. You can believe whatever you want, but weight and tread depth and tread type are the to biggest factors to hurting MPG. Tread type mostly, then Weight after that. But in this case, the tread depth and type are identical, so you just increasing the diameter while at the same time decreasing the weight slighting (not enough to make any difference whatsoever...at all...zero).
So having said all that. You can "A" over think it and buy the 265s and always regret it, or "B" make the 4runner look cooler and be happy.
