I completely agree w the opinion that ratchet straps are in the danger zone of breaking your tie down points. Friction straps are cheap and easy to use, and the OEM accessories that clip into those points are almost all bungee type accessories
Two things I noticed in the link is that only the TH says the overall height is without the roof rack. The other is that the dimension category for the OFR doesn't specify hybrid or not.
The ground clearance is set by the cross member on the transmission for the hybrids, and it's noticeably...
The roof rack and skid plates are already the on the Trailhunter too, I'm still thinking this is just the TH suspension. Which, you can already get from the parts counter, fwiw
If this is a package for a non off-road, I suspect it's like the XP Terrain package from SET, and what you're seeing is the Trailhunter suspension being included
You gotta be more specific. What is an extended period of time? Are you talking with the car turned on or off?
Your 12v battery is 72ah, which is 864wh at 12v. Adding a second battery will extend the the wh on that, but if you're doing this w the truck off, you're gonna be playing roulette w...
I would wait to drive it before making up your mind on a suspension. I have an ORPH, totally stock, and I don't take my front air dam off for trails under 7 - your description of where you're going makes me think you may just be pleasantly surprised w the stock suspension.
I'd also say to...
I have been running the Spacer Experts set for a couple months, no problems. It was cheaper than just buying 4 lugs from the dealer to get rid of wheel locks
I would say to get some bin style beds if you don't already. My corgs appreciate the hell out of them, esp if we are anywhere offroad, since they're cuddled in
The difference is the snorkel, do you really want one? If you do, you need to buy a TH. But look at all the threads on here of ppl complaining about it
The roof rack, suspension, and grill are all available post sale. The snorkel requires a different quarter panel, so just make up your mind on...
Can someone with the ARB roof rack measure the dimensions of the rack between the front and back rails, and side to side rails? I'm trying to decide between the OEM one and a full length one
Yes get the hybrid. The big difference is the onboard power. I 💯 agree with Mad Ghost - get the ORP for the screen, the cooled seats, and the liftgate - if you own this car long term you're gonna have a hard time putting those things on later.
Once you're starting there, the hybrid is like 3k...
On a personal level, this ISN'T advice I followed, and I have a garage full of giant ropes and shit I'll never use. The truck is very capable out of the box, and the easiest thing that will increase it's capability is having another truck with you out on the trail
But you know what, it was rude...
The easy answer is don't buy anything at all, go with ppl who already have gear and understand where you're coming from
MAYBE you need a winch but MAYBE you'll be uncomfortable taking a $60k truck into situations it may not come back from. You shouldn't worry about airing down non-LT rated...
