1. Driver's side grab handle. I use it all the time to get into the truck, makes it easier to not slide across the seat as I get in. I know there's an aftermarket option on amazon, but it doesn't look quite right. Also not excited about the half handle grip on the passenger side, a full handle would be so much better!

2.The snack table between the front seats. On the 4th gen the front of the center arm rest folds forward 180° to reveal a small table! Perfect for when you're eating lunch in your car!

3. 4WD-High, 4WD-Low, AWD-High, AWD-Low, and RWD. On the 4th gen SR5 4WD you get a lockable center diff, meaning you can stay in AWD (aka Full time 4WD) when making turns. Same benefit as the 6th gen Limited and Platinum trims, but in addition you can also run in RWD mode!

Completely agree! Plus, all 4wd models came standard with DAC and Locking diffs. And don't forget the available V8!

The 4wd models had Full-Time 4wd standard on the V8's, and it was selectable on the V6's. As such, the transfer case had a differential that could be locked. Which would then perform the same as a Part-Time 4wd transfer case.

The V6 4wd 4th gen (like the OP has/had) had what was called by a Toyota a Multi-Mode Transfer Case. It could operate in 2wd, Full-Time 4wd, Part-Time 4wd, and 4lo. It was the most versatile system in 4Runner's. Some years and models of 3rd gen 4Runners also had Multi-Mode 4wd.

The only 4th gen that had a locking differential in the rear axle, was the 2009 Trail Edition.

For me it would be the sun visors. I miss the dual visor w/ sliding main visor. The gated shifter. Oh and fold flat rear seats w/ pizza box compartment. IYKYK

If you were to flip up only the drivers side rear seat bottom only. You can put a pizza box there. Its flat and pizza box won't slide anywhere.
