More information: Siri/CarPlay is a bit temperamental. I'm driving along and I ask her to call somebody in my contacts list. First, she didn't hear me. Then she said she couldn't find that person. Okay, fine, I tried sending a text. Again, I had to repeat myself. Getting old and hard of hearing, missy? But she was cutting off the first few words of my dictation. WTH? I didn't have the windows down. It's like a 2-meter radio breaking squelch.
CarPlay needs work as does Spotify integration. There's a specific widget for Now Playing but that just brings Spotify forward. It doesn't actually show you what's playing all the time. And the button in Spotify to do that is way over upper right corner.
The multimedia screen has a phone button on it but when you press it, it tells you that you need to use CarPlay to make a call. Well, jeez, man, you know that so why can't you take me there automagically.
I wonder if CarPlay Ultra is going to be available. It's tempting to jailbreak my phone so I can get access to other non-CarPlay apps.
