yeah im ok with the oem shifter in ND winters :)

i have the vents perfectly aligned with the shift knob so i only have to raise my hand to warm them up in the heated air stream :)

havent found a setup yet for the left hand vent yet, but the heated steering wheel helps alot

How's it feel quality-wise? I assume the construction is rock solid but is there any wiggle/wobble at all once it's installed? My factory shifter has a little bit of play to it and the thumb button is a tad sticky... not a huge deal but doesn't exactly feel premium either.

the knob itself feels like a solid piece of aluminum ( like I stated it gets cold) they do have another option that I didn't opt for and they stated that one doesn't hold as much heat or cold . The part that you depress is plastic. So the difference between the regular OEM knob is that the OEM knob when you lock it into place has no left to right play. This knob definitely has a lot of play so you have to tighten the Allen screw to keep it firmly in place. I'm not sure how it will hold up over time as far as loosening up and starting to wiggle. You also have another screw that holds the leather piece up and they specifically say don't over tighten it because it can break the plastic. It's a nice Hefty feel and looks good . Just want to see how it holds up over time.

I installed the acetal version a few days ago and it feels fantastic -- way more sturdy and premium feeling than the OEM shifter. Doesn't have any play or rattle to it at all, feels rock solid. Install took like two minutes. It's not quite as comfy to rest your hand on as the OEM one, which is to be expected from the thinner build, but the added bonus is that it's a lot easier to grab my phone from the charger or stuff from the little console side pocket without the width of the OEM knob getting in the way.

I definitely recommend that version. I don't know why I got the aluminum one. I just assumed I didn't live in a cold or hot enough environment.
