Hi,

Just posting this as I've completed my "budget" build and am turning the page to a new chapter that will not be budget friendly (for me at least). Hopefully this gives someone some inspiration. Yes, I understand this may or may not be "budget" to some, but I purchased everything with a sale of sorts besides the tune. I also installed everything myself besides the tune and wheels, that's where the real money was saved.

Picked up this SR5 in March:

-Traded in my stock tires for 75% tread left Falken Wildpeak M/T01 's 285/70r/17 (Free)
- Full coverage Lasfit mats 10% off (179)
-Trailhunter front skid plate (297)
-Trailhunter transmission skid plate (247) Think these were both on sale during 4th of July
- NovSight HALO SE Series 4.5-inch LED Pod Lights Spot (160)
- NovSight HALO SE Series 4.5-inch LED Pod Lights Flood (160) Both 30% off
- Cali Raised ditch light brackets (50)
-Cali Raised premium roof rack (765)
-Cali Raised Step Edition Rock Sliders (963) These were both labor day sales
-SXTH Element CPLT intake (219) Used rewards from roof rack and sliders
-OTT Tune (650)
- Cali Raised RTT mounts (60)
- Top Oak Galxay 1.0 Hardtop RTT (900) New on FB marketplace

Grand Total = 4650

I could (and probably should) stop here but I have a 3 year plan mapped out that I'd like to get going. Thanks folks.

Edit: Forgot to add a Wolfbox dash cam (highly recommend) and all around ceramic tint.

Yezzir this is the way ;) Looks good and does mostly everything a 70K TRD Pro or whatever does lol.
Lmao. 23-25k for a rear locker, suspension, disconnecting front sway bar, leather seats and a badge does seem a bit goofy. I'm about to do it for 11, you can keep the badge

What kind of witchcraft did you work for the tires? Teach me your ways.
haha, I went to a used tire yard here in lovely Baltimore. Measured the tread length myself on all 4 and asked how much. He said 450 for all 4, I offered my take offs which had about 40 miles on them and he said deal. I don't think he really had any idea the cost difference, he was just super happy to get new tires. I'm sure he could gouge someone else with "New Tires"

I like your build (y) First installed photo I've seen of the Cali Raised Step Edition Rock Sliders. They look like they're wide enough to provide a good footing but don't stick out so much as to get in the way or be bothersome?

Thank you! Definitely provides good footing, my better half is 5'3 so that's why I opted for the step version. The only annoyance I run into every now and then is tapping the back of my pants getting out of the car (I'm 5'11). I wouldn't say it should deter you from buying. Believe they are on sale for under 800 right now too.
