Here's my permanent bushfix. I used a windsheild washer container as the material had the perfect ratio of resistence / slipperiness. Added a layer of rubber on each side. Tiewraps to hold it in place (just to make sure...). I will do a few hundred km and do an inspection, but I'm confidend.

HydeQc, I like your solution. I was curious if I take the lazy approach and stick some adhesive foam to the frame rails, would it prevent the tire from rubbing though? I attached a pic of what I have in mind. You can purchase up to 1" wide with 3M tape (the best I think).
