OK, who has some skill with connectors. They hate me. I bought some SUMA side mirrors; without turn signals. I went onto ALLDATE where Toyota says to just pry the mirror off. A little scary but not too much trouble. Now there are two connectors. One little connector with a lock I assume is for the blind spot and a second double spade I assume is for the defroster. The blind spot connector was no trouble but for the life of me I can not get the double spade off. I squeezed both ways with pliers, tried to get a pick under and inside, and I shoved a fine skew driver down inside from the top, no luck. I gave up and stuck the OEM back on.

Spade type connectors often have a detent & ball feature to keep them from easily sliding off. This can require quite a bit of wiggle force to pop it loose.
