I thought this was an excellent review of the TRD Off Road Premium. The reviewer does a lot of comparing to his personal vehicle, a 6th SR5.
One of the interesting things I learned was regarding the upgraded wheel package. It looks like it comes with a different tire. The tire portion is at around 6:24. The tread depth remark was pretty interesting as well. I wonder if the same tire, if sold aftermarket, has deeper tread and is thus even taller?

Does anyone know if deeper tread means a taller tire in the same tire size? For example, could two tires from the same manufacturer with the same tire size (i.e. 275/70/17 ) give you a different amount of tire clearance if one had deeper tread than the other?

Anyway, I'm derailing my own thread. Here's the review:

i think the biggest thing would be wheel width.

mounting a tire to a 8.0 vs 7.5 or even a 7.0

Usually, manufacturers have specs for each tire size including overall diameter. You can lookup those you are interested in.
