I have the hybrid ORP and I was in a Facebook group for the 6th Gen 4Runners. In one post someone brought up the rear/reverse camera spray/rinse/wash. It’s activated by putting the truck in reverse and push the lever to rinse/wipe rear window. The rear camera should be sprayed too. I tried this and no water sprayed on the camera. Also there is a little icon on the infotainment unit where it activates rear wipers and spray and has a picture of a camera getting sprayed. That doesn’t work either. This sucks because I live where salt and road gunk covers the rear camera in the winter rendering the rear camera useless.

Is this an option on the higher trims??? I figured Off-Road Premium Hybrid is a good trim level but I guess not. Here’s a picture of the screen I was talking about which looks like it should activate rear camera rinse.

I think you need to have the camera in panoramic mode. It may take a while for fluid to get through the line.

all trims camera rinse works by

(a) be in reverse
(b) activate rear window wash via push stalk forward

(c) Only some trims can activate wash via touch screen

so try it with lever only
if that won't work possibly clogged or blocked nozzle ?

Ok, it finally worked. I had to hold down the lever for awhile until finally the water made its way to the camera sprayer. I guess it’s a long line and the wiper fluid had to work its way quite a bit for the first time use. It also works via on infotainment touch screen when in reverse. Thanks guys for your inputs!!
