This is the exact reason I have NOT replaced my spare with a matching 285/70/17. The spare sits as low as the diff... If you are actually going to go offroad you are going to drag that thing constantly on rocks. They really blew it with the design of the spare compartment on these trucks probably thanks to the 3rd row and hybrid options. On my 5th gen the same size tire sits nice and flush under the truck and doesn't affect departure angle.I put 285 70 R17s on my rig and replaced the donut with full SPARE of the same size..seeing that tire from behind, underneath my 2025 SR5 PT4WD looks badass..lol
