For those who are also annoyed at the rear wiper only cleaning to 7:00 (my 4th gen worked great, and I could easily put a larger blade on it)....
I haven't really investigated the housing yet, but I'm assuming there is a motor assembly and a stop (gear or housing) that stops the wiper at 7:00 position and then pulls it back across. Now, I'm not a mechanic or an engineer, but in theory couldn't the motor/stop be adjusted to stop and return closer to 8-9:00 position?
And, if this isn't possible on the oem motor, couldn't a 3rd party create a replacement motor/housing that would allow that same size wiper blade (that hides up in the housing) to wipe all the way over to 8-9:00 before returning back? They would sell a ton of them I'd bet.
On my 4th gen I had to replace the wiper motor assembly 2x due to rust, etc. It wasn't too difficult. If a replacement like that could work on this model, that would be awesome.
