Radar detector mounting suggestions

Here's the solution I used. Generic Amazon mount specific for Uniden R7. Blendmount did not have anything available at the time of install. Power tapped using a Dongar adapter.

Do you know if a Dongar adapter would work by tapping somewhere in the rear view mirror? I would like to avoid opening where the map lights are again, that was a pain.

There's a guy on one of these threads that did a unit and using a Dongar adapter but I can't get that company to reply to me to tell me what I need for my valentine one. I just wanted it to be plugged and play without having a USB outlet or anything up there.
