Question on tire wear 2025 TRD PRO

I completely agree with this....almost 12K on my OEM ATIII and there is no way I can run them this winter!!!!

Came here to say this! I was not expecting these to be drastically different than the Toyo Open Country ATIII's on my Jeep. My gas mileage is already trash anyway, so needless to say will be replacing with big boy tires once these wear down, and it sounds like it won't be long! I put 90,000 on my last set and honestly they were still plenty safe to drive on. I just wanted the most aggressive tread pattern back on them so I got a new set. Those have 50,000 rightg now and you couldn't tell it.

I just replaced the tires on my '20 Ram 2500. The old tires were feathering on the outside and had an alignment performed by the tire installer. 1000 miles forward they appeared to be doing the same thing, so hdd my buddy's diesel shop perform an alignment and the tow was off. Tire installer was Tire Discounter. I replaced the tires on my PRO w/Toyo OC3 EVs running 38 psi. No unusual wear. Our '25 ORP with OE Michelins are also wearing properly. Also running 38 psi. IDK? You might take it back to your dealer if they appear knowledgeable or visit a reputable print end shop

Notice much change in gas mileage? I already can't get 19 no matter what I do anyway with this runner. I'm used to the 17 I get with my JK Wrangler so it's fine, just curious.

I've got TRD ORP so might be off-base for this thread, but the concerns about stock tire wear triggered me to start measuring and since I run both stock 265/70R18 Michelins (on TRD PRO wheels) and LT285/75R18 Toyo OC ATIIIs I thought I'd post my current status for whatever interest there is.

• 265/70R18 Michelins LTX Trail (Stock): Miles: 9746; Tread (exactly) 9/32" (spec new: 10/32") projected life : >60k miles @ 3.5/32" (seems right)
• LT285/75R18 Toyo OC ATIII: Miles: 9303; Tread 14.5/32" (spec new: 16.5/32") Projected life: 60k miles @3.5/32" (also seems right?)

Lots more tread on the Toyo but wearing down faster. Consistent with rough treatment off-roading (e.g., spinning over some obstacles) and generally rougher surfaces (?)

Tire wear seems even on both sets. Have had alignment done 3 times:

• after installation of Peak 1.25" leveling spacer and first installation of big tires
• after installation of TRD 2.5" Lift Kit
• after 500 miles on lift kit

In all cases went from out of spec to in spec.
Dealer who installed lift kit did the last alignment and it needed it after settling in. Was slightly out of spec. Most recent alignment below. Am curious if there should be any significant difference between TRD OR and PRO. (Also wish I could find official Toyota specs on what the numbers SHOULD be. Have had no luck searching for that).

So the concern is with the quality of the factory installed Toyo OC III tires that come with it. They seem to wear much faster. The tread is not as deep and the compound is softer. They are not the same as going out and buying a fresh set of tires.

That's reassuring that the aftermarket ATIII are holding up much better. Disappointing in the OEM ones but it's whatever at this point. Still like the Pro even though I don't get to drive it much as it's my wife's daily driver. Anyway, looking at the Goodyear Duratrac RT for winter.
