Protective film (PPF) forward of rear wheels coming off

I washed my 4R today (by hand, never use car washes or pressure washers). I noticed a dirty mark and on further inspection, it was the film coming off at the top section where its has a cut out. Dirty had gotten behind the file. I peeled a bit back and cut the non-sticking dirty bit. Then, I checked the other side and it had the same issue. Sorry I don't have pictures right now.

I will pop into the dealership today in the hope they confirm under warranty and order two new film pieces. I would prefer to fit them but might have to trust them to do the job right.

Anyone else noticing the OEM file starting to come off?

Currently at a Toyota Dealer. They did not think the lower rear door paint protection film was a standard item. It was not listed as a port item and I know the dealer did not add it as I picked up the 4r when it came off the truck.
Does anyone know if this film is standard fitment.
We looked at two new models on the lot. One had film, the other now. So weird.

I have the same issue on both sides of my TRD Pro.

One side of mine was coming off, dealer replaced it under warranty.

Thanks for the confirmation. It took some convincing but the dealer ordered replacements and will have a body/trim guy replace. I know its a minor thing but, they cost a lot and need to know the film is peeling or poorly installed.

I am still puzzled that the dealer had some new 4R’s with the film and others without.

I honestly didn’t even notice it until it started to peel off. My dealer didn’t hesitate to replace it, which is nice. Actually my dealership has never given me any issues so I’m not surprised. As soon as they get the parts to fix my brakes they’ve already said they would do those as well.
