Hello All
I will take delivery of the 2026 platinum model soon. I wanted to switch over to the wheels mentioned below.

GT OFF-ROAD REVOLT MATTE BRONZE WITH BLACK RING 17X8.5 +25 6X135|6X139.7MM 106.1MM

And the tires mentioned below.

FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T4W LT265/70R17 123/120S E/10.

I'm wondering has anyone else tried this setup, and if the 17 inch wheels will work on the platinum model?
Thank you in advance.

hub centric adapter needed since you are putting a 106 wheel on a 95 hub.

the bigger issue you will have is winter time and snow packing. there isnt much room between the 17in wheels and the wheel hardware and brake hardware.

and if your snow packed wheels snow melts and freezes, that could cause issues during the winters since you are in canuck land.

ND winters have taught me that and you are not that far north to not feel the same effects. if you are mostly city driving you shouldnt have an issue. the bigger cities in loonie dollar land have a pretty good snow removal system.

Thank you for your help. I'm so new to all this. I'm not sure if I should be too worried about the snow freezing around the brakes, I park in my condo and snow removal is usually pretty good, all though the last winter in Toronto was really brutal.

I'm looking at this for the hub adapter

Snow removal isn't actually the issue, the natural melting and especially if your local administration uses snow/ice melt aids is. The liquid or melting road contamination can build up on brake components and the inside of the wheels, freezing on the cold surfaces. In motion, they will remain clear and not be an issue. Parked overnight, additional melting, then refreezing and expansion of the ice build up can occur, "locking" the wheel and caliper. In exreme cases, you'll just a get a bunch of noise as the ice and snow builds up and rubs on the inside of the wheel. The less space, the more likely this can happen, and of course, depending on conditions, it can happen to anyone. Happens to me and my X5d with 18" wheels in southern Maine, but I park in my garage so there's enough temperature there generally to keep it soft enough, but it's not insulated and the first few miles can ne noisy.

Thank you!
I think I will go with 18inch rims instead!
I'll post photos once I get the car and the set.

I’m in Calgary AB and am running 17” wheels from a 5th gen on my limited. The clearance is tight but I had no issues during the winter and our winters get crazy.

Thank you!
