Paint defect or something else?

I have never had this on my other Toyotas. Just received my ORP 4 days ago- haven’t done anything really but grocery runs / work. But I noticed this today while getting ready to leave to work. What is this? Does everyone’s have this texture? This is a picture of looking on the drivers side on the front wheel- same on both sides but not really present on the rear wheel area - or as bad.

Texture is normal. My 2011 is the same way.
I too was concerned when I first saw it on mine but after some Googling I learned it’s normal.

Yeah, it's really thick and textured like that on about everything these days. Even my 2013 has it. It's to help with the road rash from debris hitting it constantly.

Thickened coatings behind front & in front of rear wheel wells. My 4th Gen had it too

Dealer showed it it to me on amTacoma and Sequoia as well. Said it was part of the rust prevention approach.
