This has been a common issue on newly designed Toyotas. So much so someone began selling screens to cover the area where the AC condenser radiator is.
I agree, ask for proof, but sadly yeah the warranty isn’t going to cover road damage, even if it’s a poor design. Definitely still bring it up...
Normal with the TNGA platform, mostly with AC on. My wife’s RAV4 does it, every rental Camry I’ve had does it, my sisters RAV4 does it, and the new Tacoma does it.
The T24A and A25A are similar engines so not surprising that they have similar cooling behavior.
Sadly it’s exactly what I’d expect from Toyota. From my experience they’re stubborn AF until many people begin to report an issue. Then and only then do they admit fault.
I remember as a kid, the power sliding doors broke on my mom’s 04 sienna. Toyota did nothing, granted it was likely out of...
Sadly a clunky shift from 2-1 while coming to a stop seems normal on all Toyota 8-speeds(AL80 in BOF vehicles, UA80 in others). I’ve seen reports of it on the Tacoma (AL80) forums for it and my wife’s RAV4 does it (UA80).
There’s a White TRD sport at my local dealer with a “discount” that pretty much takes off the cost off all the accessories. Price just dropped today, it was a $500 discount originally.
I had seen that on my friends 2018 GMC Sierra, but you could hear the shutters move and sorta see the shutter slide in the beam pattern. This seems like other diodes illuminating as it’s pretty instant. I just haven’t heard the shutters move, but I also haven’t stood outside the vehicle and hit...
My wife’s RAV4 is a projector style LED like the non premium 4Runner lights. Those headlights are phenomenal in my opinion. The high beams don’t get brighter, the pattern just changes to throw the light further down the road. I’m assuming more diodes just turn on within the housing.
Mileage could definitely affect things. I want to say we’re at 12,000 miles per vehicle? The 4Runner I could lower for sure as I only did 5k in it last year. The Sonic has been my go to for most daily driving.
I’m in northwest Indiana, but between two tiny little towns who’s population is less...
when I was looking at a 6th gen at the dealer one of the sales people suggested there’s less legroom because the 2nd row sits further up. It did appear that was the case and there was slightly more depth in the cargo area. I didn’t get to compare side by side with my 5th gen though. Headroom is...
If only that were true. My 2011 4Runner has increased every year, our 2013 Sonic has increased every year (it was somehow substantially more to insure than the 4Runner so we dropped collision), and my wife’s 2023 RAV4 has increased every year.
No tickets, no claims, no accidents. I’ve shopped...
I wonder if that's a factory difference? You'd have to compare a Tahara made LC to a 4Runner. That could be a Hamura made one.
In theory yeah that shouldn't make a difference as they should be the same color. Legit concern about the touchup paint.
Yeah Toyota can’t afford to screw up the this engine (T24A-FTS), it’s in too many products. The V35A-FTS (Turbo V6) in the Tundra, Sequoia, GX, LX, etc isn’t produced in the same capacity - I feel they’re not as worried about it, given the lingering issues with it. They can sorta afford to screw...
