Model Letter Acronyms :

  • CE: Classic Edition. This trim was used on older, base-model Toyotas but has been phased out on newer vehicles.
  • DX: Deluxe. A trim level that adds a few more features and comforts than the standard entry-level model.
  • L: Entry-level. A no-frills, budget-friendly grade that includes basic features.
  • LE: Luxury Edition. A mid-tier trim that adds more comfort and technology than the base models, such as power windows and nicer upholstery.
  • S: Sport. A trim with a sportier appearance, often with performance-inspired styling.
  • SE: Sport Edition. A sport-oriented trim with upgraded styling and improved handling, featuring elements like sport-tuned suspension and unique wheels.
  • SLE: Sport Luxury Edition. A trim that combines sporty elements with luxurious features.
  • VE: Value Edition. A price-conscious trim level with a focus on affordability.

  • Limited: A premium luxury trim with high-end materials, technology, and comfort features.
  • Nightshade: A design package featuring blacked-out exterior accents, including wheels, emblems, and mirrors.
  • Platinum / Capstone: The top-of-the-line trims for the ultimate luxury and technology experience, featuring real wood trim, panoramic moonroofs, and premium audio systems.
  • TRD: Toyota Racing Development. This trim signifies enhanced performance and off-road capability and comes in several variants:
  • TRD Off-Road: Includes specialized suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires.
  • TRD Pro: A higher-tier off-road trim with premium features like FOX shocks and enhanced suspension.
  • TRD Sport: Adds sportier styling and enhanced on-road performance.

depends on how you look at it...

from a model code yes its GR but technically its a subdivision of TRD (not really clear on this part since TRD existed prior to GR).

GR was originally a marketing and internet brand (gazoo.com) and eventually changed to GR
