Mod Question - Cover for Wheel Well Engine Bay Opening?

Are there any third party or other templates which cover the hole in the wheel well which allows for dirt/dust/water intrusion into the engine bay? I first heard of this from Oil Drop and tried the suggested mod but am concerned about rubbing of the lines into and out of the space. Looking forward to y'alls thoughts!

Before you cover it up do a test. On a hot day with the A/C on and the cooling fan running on high speed, stick your hand in there and see if you feel air flow. The wheel well on some vehicles is where heat from the engine bay is exhausted.

My first thought as well. Seems like it was intentional and blocking it might raise underhood temps.
