I installed the Lexland Grill and Light Bar a few weeks ago, and uploaded the install and review on my YouTube channel. You can check that out here!
I was hesitant with what to expect when starting this install. It is a lot of work, and I wasn’t sure I was going to be pleased with the grill, specifically because the TOYOTA letters are not integrated into the grill. After installing it, I can say I am very pleased.
I ran in to several snags during this build, and I want to point them out for anyone who decides to take this on (I cover all of this in the YouTube video as well).
The Lexland kit comes with:
upper grill
lower grill
light bar
grill lights (amber)
harness to connect grill lights
To complete installation you need the following items:
Wiring Harness for light bar (2 if installing grill lights as well)
Rave Camera Bracket
Rave Extended Camera Harness (recommended but not required)
OEM Dash Switch (unless you have the pre-wired aux switches)
The Lexland kit doesn’t include any wiring harnesses, so you have to purchase those separately.
You need the camera bracket, because the only way the oem bracket will fit is upside down. My front camera is upside down currently, until I have time to pull the bumper off again and install the bracket.
The camera harness is optional… the other option is to use the stock harness, but you have to cut it out of the harness on the bumper. I didn’t want to risk cutting other wires, so I bought the harness.
If your truck does not have the pre-wired aux switches, then you need to purchase an oem style dash switch like the one I linked from caliraised.
If you are thinking about going this route, it is an affordable option compared to the others out there. The light bar is good, especially considering the price for the whole kit is $240!
