The Beatsonic amp has made a WORLD of difference in my non jbl 4Runner. I’ve heard it’s the same with the JBl system though. Raised volume by at least 30-50 percent and made the music sound much better. I was hesitant at first but glad and super happy I did. Also install only took 15 minutes.

I've got a Beat-Sonic encore ENA-3T3 amp that I was unable to fit in my Trailhunter.
Get a hold of me off-line and we can arrange something.

I had a Subaru that had a pretty bad sound and a rattle years ago. I ended up replacing the speakers in the doors to name brand ones (I think Polk). When I removed the door panels I found out what the problem was. Subaru had several plastic pieces that were attached to the door panels that were loose. The panels has these narrow plastic pins sticking out. The pins fit through holes on the panel they attached to and then someone would take something like a hot iron and melt the pin. Kind of like a rivet. The problem was the panel could rattle. I dab of caulk solved the problem.

If you have a rattling noise I would fix that first before worrying about the sound. It just takes someone doing the hard work with an open mind tearing into it. Usually Toyota is pretty good about not having rattles so I would focus on an assembly problem vs design.
