if you had an app on the phone you can make it a default, one-tap

but the built-in Toyota app on the headunit isn't one that can be put on the
left hand quick access list...and survey says 'that bites'

to switch to the toyota system its 2 taps (if the last used function was the audio part of the toyota system) 3 taps if it was something else like the map function

i just went outside to test this.

on AA, tap the dot square at the bottom of the left side of AA, tap toyota and it takes you back to the toyota side of the head unit.

since i was previously using the audio it went back to the toyota audio screen

I am

Have you not tried the toyota voice commands? That should work no?
This was the answer (for me anyways).
I hadn't previously used any of the Toyota commands. Here's what works for me: Hit the voice command button, say: "Show Sirius channels" and it gets me (most of the way) there. Just one actual click on the screen to show my favorites list. I can also eliminate the steering wheel click by using Hey Toyota.
*I totally own that this is a bit silly but I like optimizing systems like this to eliminate clicks and this minimizes distractions from the road.

No, I'm with you and it bugs me, too. I found you can skip one tap if you hold the bottom left split screen icon in AA for a few seconds instead of just tapping. Takes you right to Apps

You have to hit the voice command button first? You cant just say "hey toyota" like you can say "hey google"?

You can indeed. That's why I put this part: "I can also eliminate the steering wheel click by using Hey Toyota."
