Finally installed! I will be using a heat gun at low heat to seal the edges for extra insurance!

I had no idea that this was a problem with the seatbelt scratching up the side.

Never had this problem with my other cars or I just have not noticed the scratches.

I like the velcro. It’s what I’ve always used on previous vehicles. It cushions the blow. I see the fancy vinyl stuff taking a beating and showing signs of impact as much as not using anything

Glad it works for you. I went with clear PPF because I did not want it to be noticeable. Some protection is better than nothing.

Glad it works for you. I went with clear PPF because I did not want it to be noticeable. Some protection is better than nothing.

The place I am taking it to on Monday for a ceramic coating also does trim repair, hopefully they can re-grain mine and make the existing damage go away.,

Im still thinking about options for protection but I have these strips of some rubber like material that are adhesive backed..I may put some of that on the actual buckle housing itself and than cover that area on the pillar with PPF.

They do have these but have to find one that fits the Runner

Odd question : What is the deal with the bulky driver side (only) buckle? I don’t mind it, but why different from the passenger side?
