Hybrid hum sound even when vehicle is off

Newbie to Toyota, hybrids and 4 runners! Bought the wife a 2025 ORP hybrid. So far she’s loving it and it sure is pretty!

She has 700 miles on it so far. But…. I was walking out in the garage and heard a hum coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle hadn’t been driven in at least 6-7 hours. Seems to be coming from near the hybrid battery. Reminds me of a cooling fan hum? Stayed on for 10 or so minutes from when I first heard it but not sure how long it was on prior to me noticing.

Normal or not?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Should I be concerned and contacting the dealer?

its in the manual literally on page 6 bottom left explaining the hum/noise the vehicle has.

(at least for the HV models) might be page 5 or 7 on the non HV models

wasnt trying to be rude, but its actually funny on what toyota did with the manual. previous manuals and not just the 4R, that blurb was buried deeper in the manual. but with so many people complaining/calling/emailing asking that same question, toyota moved the blurb to the beginning of the manual to get ahead of people asking that same question.

It’s all good! I was caught by surprise and have been lurking here learning so figured I’d use the massive brain power here! Definitely wouldn’t hurt to skim through the manual for details just hadn’t got there yet. Did a ceramic coat, set up the electronics and turned the keys over to the boss!

I probably won’t get to drive it until the snow flies and gas is required!
