I switched over to the Lexus app. I didn’t even think about that. I was getting an annoying pop up on my phone in my 4Runner and on the 25 Camry about the app wanting to connect and Lexus app made that go away.

Yep such an annoying pop up. Glad the Lexus app worked.

It's just the app on your phone. Assuming you already have the Toyota app installed on iOS with a Toyota account when you set up your 6th gen.... all you do is download the Lexus app from the app store and log in with the same credentials. Everything works like normal. All your settings are linked to your log in credentials so there's no additional set up. Once I confirmed it was working, I just deleted the Toyota app from my phone.

Having the app is really only useful while you're using the free Toyota connect services included with the purchase of your vehicle. You can remote start, unlock/lock the doors. See tire pressure (based on your last drive), etc. Nice features, but once the free 3 year promo trial ends I doubt I'd renew and pay Toyota for this service. I never actually use it, but nice to have.
Awesome! Thank you for all that info! Gonna try it in a few minutes. And thanks for the tip on the free service. Just had free AT&T stop and getting emails saying it's gonna affect everything wireless, but I think it's only the Wi-Fi hotspot in the 4Rnr.

You won’t notice it’s gone. I personally chose to opt out of the trial for AT&T in the vehicle and haven’t once missed it. My personal phone works just fine and it can also be a hot spot if needed. Why pay twice?

Does the Lexus app show battery voltage by chance? Guessing not but figured I'd ask. Used to 12volt Solutions remote on my 18 and 21. It worked well and quick. Toyota app seems delayed at times, sometimes for minutes

The two apps are the same from what I can see. I haven't noticed battery voltage displayed in either one.
