Does anyone else find it annoying that the source button is obscuring the channel list? I only use Sirius. Not sure if it is the same layout as regular radio. I’ve tried everything to see about moving or eliminating it. If no solution, I would not be upset if not using car play was an option. As I have never used it before.

I agree. It’s technically not part of CarPlay but rather, how the Radio (AM/FM/XM) is implemented in the Toyota infotainment display. Could be fixed with a future update.
I’d also make the station presets smaller and more like “buttons” for better usability, too.

Since I mostly use CarPlay, I’d also like it if the Radio integrated better into CarPlay UI rather than having to switch away by clicking the ? button to access/change stations every time and then switch back.

I’m not at all impressed with the user interface. We mainly listen to local radio stations and even just that is an asswhip. Definitely should be more like buttons. Scrolling is downright stupid. What I’ve always wondered since now car companies are putting basically a big ass computer/phone in the middle of the dash is, how is this not considered distracted driving at its worst??? Anyhow the screen is a pain in the ass. Just to adjust the bass/treble etc is going into deep settings.

The Toyota graphic user interface is terrible. If I don’t subscribe to Sirius / Amazon Music / Apple Music, I should have the ability to lock these out so I don’t see them every time I hit the source button

if your carplay or AA auto starts every time you get in, you shouldnt have to use the source button at all

have both 4R's set to auto start AA every time the engine is started and starts playing spotify for the fob profile.

so its either my spotify or the wife's that starts.

never have to even futz around with audio.

Among other things, if you use the SOURCE button on the steering wheel, it cycles through Amazon music and creates a popup that you have to physically dismiss if you don't have any data services enabled and I'd imagine it's similar if you're not a Amazon Music member.

I also don't like the Source button covers the station list. That when you add or remove a favorite, a pop up appears conforming the action that covers the top of the display and goes away only after a period of time. Limited favorite station slots.

I don't think AA has a SOURCE button when in that mode. There's a Source button when on the Toyota side of things.

Overall, it's not terrible, very reliable and hasn't gone rogue. I have Sirius radio service and also the app and I don't know when it's streaming or using the antenna at times. Sometimes the antenna reception gets choppy so I want to switch over.

I'm not a fan of the big Source button either but its easy to hit when my radio decides on its own to switch from Radio to Phone which I find so annoying. Will happen at least once a day while driving. And no I'm not hitting any buttons on the wheel. It just decides to do it. 🤷‍♂️
