The dealer would be getting me a new plastic piece after putting self tapping screws into the dash piece.

That looks like a Karr Alarm system box. If you take the 2 self tapping screws out there should be a label on the underside.

If it has an IMEI number anywhere on that sticker, it has a cell signal and is capable of sending data back and forth.

Hmm... so judging purely by the LED part alone, this video matches what I have on my vehicle. Part of me wants to ignore it until I have to take it in for the first service and have the dealer remove it. (Yes, that would be a different dealer than the one I bought it from). That way, if they screw something up it's on them. This is a pretty decent how-to video on getting the plastic parts off.
