My salesperson messaged me that I have a 4Runner allocated to me and that it was being built on 1/29 and he mentioned the arrival date would be between March 16th - April 18th. What’s a realistic ETA on this? I ran it through Gemini and it mentioned March 20th in just so damn pumped to get it.

since you are in philly, expect 3-4 weeks just to ship from japan, it has to go thru the panama canal then up the coast to newark to unload.

portland deliveries are 2 weeks, 3 weeks if bad weather.

add a 1-2 weeks for port processing (mine took 2 at portland, but i had a lot of PIO to install)

if you want you can see the whole process in my thread (mind you its very long winded)

https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/my-journey-for-a-new-6th-gen-platinum.5917/

from build date of 8-22 to dealer delivery on 10-12

I am also waiting on a 2026, I believe nothing the salesperson says, they have no clue or control over things, they just want to be sure nobody cancels their sale!!

If you get your build date from the sales person, go to marinetracker.com and see what RORO is parked by Tahara. let your inner OCD flow, and you figure out when it departs and the destination. In my case, the sales droid tried to tell me (east coast) I should expect a Newark port delivery, but it's going to be Jax, which means actually pulls in the delivery a bit earlier, although final transport will up I95 via truck to the mid-Atlantic. Hopefully this weather breaks over the next 3 weeks!

side note: once the RORO gets out of range of the coast, you lose the AIS (think marine GPS) data for a bit unless you get a paid account, but Pacific transit is about 2 weeks, although you may get a brief blip of data as you come in range of Hawaii. YMMV. I wasn't expecting a location fix until Monday, but I got an early update today as I guess my boat is getting close enough to the Baja coast, now I can trigger my OCD even sooner. Wife is going to love me...

The dealer told me it would be in 1/30 to 2/14, it came in on the 30th and I took delivery on 2/2/26. I’m in CT.

I would recommend that you just keep checking the spreadsheet on vehicle status. It will give a build status and date window. The actual arrival date will be closer to the end of the range. Once the vehicle is "In Transit to Dealer", the arrival date has high confidence. I put deposit down on a 2026 Platinum in early November and it arrived at the dealer on December 26th. If you already have a Toyota and have the app, DO NOT put in the VIN and think you can track the vehicle. It screws everthing up and you have to go into the Toyota website (not the app) and delete the vehicle from your account before you can connect to the actual vehicle.

Where can I find the spreadsheet at, I know dumb question. If I already added the car to the Toyota app should I delete it then?

Yes, if you put the vin in the app then you should delete. If if it gives you a "not able to delete" in the app, go to the toyota website version and log in as an owner. Go to the vehicle and delete. When it prompts back, check "never owned vehicle". That is the only way I found that will actually delete the vehicle. As far as I know, the Toyota app team does not even know this work around.

Tell him to send you a screen shot. My sales guy did that. I saw it until it got to the dealership.
