Hi.
I'm currently in the process and have decided to order a 4Runner Platinum once the 2026 pricing becomes available in Canada
.
My research included getting auto insurance quotes and my insurance provider, CAA, has a requirement to install a 3rd party (approved) engine immobilizer (dispite the 4Runner already has beenne by default) otherwise, an addition $1,500 a year premium will be tacked onto the insurance policy as, although not on their āTOP 10 Theft List, yet, it's been deemed as a necessary requirement.
Has anyone else auto insurance made a 3rd party engine immobilizer a requirement as well?
Thanks!
