Consider your warranty - some dealerships can be prickly about using anything but Toyota Cert CC. Maybe check with the Service Manager at your dealership before doing ant work.

I am pretty sure "they" cannot refuse a future warranty claim if you have a repair done elsewhere or even yourself, unless of course that repair was the cause of the warranty claim (and they would have to show that). I am not sure if that is California law or farther, although I would imagine other states may have something similar if it is a state thing.

Hopefully it is the drunk driver's insurance that ends up paying...

Driving through Laguna Beach, CA yesterday and I was side swiped by a drunk driver. He swerved into me and then hit another car while trying to pull over. Tore off my fender flare and scraped up my fender and bumper. My heart aches.

Please tell me the cops got the guy and you got his insurance info.

It will look as if it never happened after a good body shop gets it in. Just remember when you settle with insurance your vehicle will be worth less at trade in. I failed it realise this a few years back and it cost me an extra 6K when I traded it in. By the way that color will be easy to match too!

Coincidentally i'm also looking at a new fender as i picked this up on the way to work this week from a huge barrier cable that somehow got laid out across two lanes of traffic on the freeway...almost avoided it but the dude in front of me had no chance. I'm told it could be 2-4 weeks wait to get a new fender replacement due to backorder. Guy at my shop had a '25 4Runner in a couple weeks ago that needed new front bumper and fender as reference.
