My 4Runner TRD ORP is on order and while waiting, I had a question about the seat memory. Does it also remember tilt wheel and mirror location, or just the seat?

It’s a useless system. My daughter is much shorter than me. When I open the door and push the preset button for me after she has driven, it won’t move the seat because the door is open. So I have to wedge myself into the car then close the door and push the preset button for it to work. I love the vehicle but the stupid safety crap on this thing is ridiculous.

Can’t believe I will say this, but sounds like the Ford seat memory system is better, even 15 years ago. When turning off the engine, it moves the seat all the way back to get out(and back in). When starting the engine, it moves it forward to the preset position for the key.

Still not worth getting a Ford.

hitting the memory buttons is not the preferred way. they are only there for setting the memory settings

if you have a profile (loaded) and linked to your fob, the seat will move when you open the door based on your preset

works just fine on our 23 tundra, seat moves when i open the door for my fob and when the wife drives, the seat moves to her preset when she opens the door.

again have to have a profile loaded to the headunit and link to that person's fob

not that much of a big deal on the 25 4R since i only drive that. when its the both of us we always take her tundra since its easier for her to get into than the 4R

Though I have not yet loaded a profile(memory setting) for myself and linked it to a specific fob, my 4Runner moves the seal all the way back after shutting off the engine, thus it is all the way back when I re-enter, then after starting the engine the seat moves back to the last position (my driving) it was located when the engine was running. Sounds like your Ford system.
