Finally got the last piece to the puzzle and big shout out to the @Dongar team. I saw other posts about using add-a-fuse and the cover not fitting properly, decided I didnt want that. Brand new car deserves a clean install. Saw a post from Dongar about using the Pro but Blackvue uses a 12v barrel power connector not any form of USB.
I got my hands on their USB-C to 12v Barrel adapter and got to work. They suggest the 5 pin wiring harness but my lights weren't coming down easily so i opted for the 10 pin that powers my rearview mirror. Easy breezy.....Unplugged mirror, slipped in the harness, mounted the Dongar Pro under the plastic, ran my lines out, mounted my camera, and just like that all done.
I've done several dash cams for friends and family but this was by far the easiest and cleanest one ive done. Sorry if i sound like an ad but seriously this was easy.
