Our 4Runner has one as does my ‘25 Ram Rebel. The Rebel has a pano one. I only use it on overcast days by opening the power shade. I wear hearing aids, do windows and sunroof open doesn’t work for me. I’d rather have been able to delete them and save the money but they came with the option packages that I wanted. It will also be good for resale if needed.

I use mine all the time in spring and fall. Every car I have had since 1995 has had one (minus a convertible I had). I also like the extra light in the cabin unless it’s like a million degrees out and then I will close the cover. Otherwise it’s open unless I park in the sun.

I live in SoCal and opening the sunroof and back window is the first thing I do after starting my 4Runner. I owned jeeps for 20+ years and sorely miss taking the top off.
I do, yes. I find western WA to be the perfect climate to justify the sunroof. On cloudy days (much of the year) or at dawn/dusk it lets much-appreciated extra light into the cabin to brighten it up. On warmer days, it's great for airflow. On the unusual too-warm-too-sunny day, you can easily close up the cover.

I understand that in some climates, the too-warm-too-sunny scenario is much more common, meaning people have much less opportunity to appreciate the extra glass or extra opening to the outdoors. Though, even growing up in AZ sunroofs were great 75% of the year, so maybe I'm just a sunroof fan overall.
I'm not against moonroofs / sunroofs, just not a fan of panoramic roofs on vehicles intended for frequent off-roading and rock crawling. In fact, it's a deal breaker for me if a vehicle doesn't have a moonroof. I have a moonroof on my 6Gen 4Runner. I love the light it lets into the interior and the breeze and fresh air it lets in when its opened. It also allows visibility to check on what you have on the roof rack.

My 5G SR5 had one and I used it quite often during warm spring and fall days, and in summers at night only as it’s too hot during the daylight hours. However, only when the wife was not in the vehicle- it apparently messed her hair too much-“I don’t like eating my hair” she’d say.
it never leaked, but was and is still in the 6G much noisier than my old Bravada. Toyota could do a much better job with the wind deflector.
Being 6’1” I would like to have extra headroom as it was an issue in the 5G but in the 6G, with the power seats, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to lower the seat to a level that provided the extra headroom I wanted and thought I would have to deal with (lack) again and still have a good driving position to not feel like I was sitting on the floor pan.

I really over use it to store my Starlink when I am driving and need Internet in the middle of nowhere, I just leave the antenna between the lip and the slide the cover over to hold it.

Other than that, not really. Maybe to vent the vehicle occasionally.
