Day time running lights not working

Bought a 2025 TRD PRO a year and a half ago. I turned off my day time running lights off from the directional stalk and now they won't come back on. They will work when I put my headlights on but that's it. I went into the vehicle customization and turned if off and back on. restarted the car same thing nothing. Ive played with it multiply times and can't seem to fix this..

Turning Off or Customizing DRL

• Vehicle Settings Menu: DRL operation can also be toggled ON or OFF through the customization settings in the Multi-Information Display (MID) or the Multimedia screen[5][6].

Today I pulled up to a store with reflective glass. I noticed the date time runningg lights were on. the signal stalk switch was on Auto the day time. light switch was on and in customization lights was on. But no lights on the dash saying they were on (they used the on). I turned the daytime running light switch off on the stalk nothing happened and they stayed on. I turned off the the day time running lights off on the vehicle customization and they turned off.. Weird

Make sure the sensor on top of the dashboard is not covered or blocked, as darkness can cause the vehicle to switch over to full low-beam headlights instead of DRLs.

The DRL will not turn on when the transmission is in park, so it makes sense that you'll see them when you pull up to something reflective.

I don't remember there being any dashboard light that indicates the DRLs being on.

I believe the headlights are the DRLs. I went through this, myself. Are looking for a “Raptor” effect? Amber lights?

and incan turns.... have drl as a dimmer low beam

the other type of headlight has independent DRL

Its strange but my day time driving lights were always lit when I started the car and I had a light on my instrument panel telling me they were on for a year and a half. Now my day time driving lights behave as in the post from timberline.
