My two cents:
I don't like the Sharp edges on that hole.
I would never use a soft shackle on that.

You will have to have hard D shackle mounted and most likely use a bridal technique to pull evenly on the front of that Bush bar.
Just my two cents
Yeah I see what your saying, I don’t plan on taking this truck through the most difficult terrain though and the extra insurance of the bar in the city I live and work in where no one knows how to drive works for me.

Their website says the brush guard can be installed with the OEM or aftermarket tow hooks. Anyone have experience with this?

This brush guard from CAtuned is the best looking one I've found without needing a full bumper replacement, and I think I'd get to keep my red TRD tow hooks.

I'm pretty sure you cannot use the OEM tow hooks with the guard. The bar takes up the real estate where the OEM hook would sit flush.

Fair point... I'm wondering if you mount the tow hooks closest to the frame and then the brush guard? I don't remember if the completely flat side of the tow hooks faces the frame or the ground... That would be a go/no-go point (will have to look in a few minutes).

My concern would then be the length of the bolts being long enough to fully secure everything. However, I do remember when installing the red TRD tow hooks, the bolts are pretty long.

I think if we add two more metal reinforcement bars at the front, it would not only increase the protective area during a collision, but also conveniently solve the issue of mounting the front license plate.

So you can’t put the license plate on with this?

So I just looked it does look like they have integrated to hooks in the bottom of the bar where it mounts.

What is the measurement of the hole. Will 3/4 D ring shackles work?

Awesome!!! Just ordered it 😊
Be warned, it takes longer to unpack than to install. They wrap the life outta it for shipping. Plastic wrap, then a moving blanket, then heavy cardboard on the bends and mounting points, then plastic wrap that holds the bubble wrap. I placed the moving blanket down, took out the 4 bolts with 3/8 impact driver, held it up with my left hand and started the bolts with my right. Got em snug stepped back to check alignment then torqued down. A second person wouldve been easier but i wouldve waited longer for my wife to come down to the garage lol
