Hello everyone,

I Installed New wheels and they open up the view of the disc and calipers. The calipers are fugly. I can pull and high temp paint or powder coat but what are other performance options for me to check out.

I’ve had caliper covers on two vehicles from MGP. They’re a good solution. I don’t see 6th gen 4R on the options but they’re constantly updating. Would be worth calling to see when/if they are available. Not a perfect picture but this was the latest set I owned (gloss black with FX4 Off-road on them).

what do you mean performance options? like upgrading them or do you just care about looks? if you want better stopping power look into gettting ceramic or semi metallic pads. the OEM ones are way to soft IMO.

as long as you dont do consistent hauling duties, ceramics are slightly better for a $$$ cost vs metallic pads overall.

metal ones will be cheaper and handle heat loads way better than ceramics

dont confuse ceramics for the carbon fiber ones for racing

on my 2014 4R limited, my oem brake pad and rotors lasted until 96k miles, replaced front and rear pads and rotors for $500 per axle

Send Rotora an email. Had their front and rear system on my 2009 4runner. Quite the improvement compared to stock in terms of slowing power. Stopping power is more a function of your ABS system and tires.
