I have searched through the posts and I am seeing conflicting information and I am looking for some clarity before I place an order. Hoping someone here has some first hand experience that can chime in.

The 4Runner that I am looking to put it in is a TRD Sport Premium with the upgraded JBL sound system and subwoofer.

1. Beat-Sonic shows two amps available for the 2025 4Runner - the ENA-2T3 and the ENA-3T3. I have seen posts where some say that there is no room for the 3T3 because of the JBL Flex speaker and that you need to use the 2T3. I have seen others showing an install of the 3T3 saying there is room if it is pushed off to the right side of the speaker at an angle. I am thinking that the frame for the dash is all the same from model to model, however these conflicting posts makes has me questioning. I am wanting the 3T3 for the 5 extra watts. Will the 3T3 fit in a TRD Sport Premium dash with the JBL Flex speaker?

2. I see where if you want to add a subwoofer to the 3T3 and you are using it with the upgraded JBL sound system, you will need an additional volume control for the subwoofer. That part is clear. My question is with the factory subwoofer already wired into the stock sound system, will this amp also be adding mor power to the factory subwoofer and will it also control the volume of the factory subwoofer being that it is already wired into the factory harness?

I hope this makes sense. If I am not clear on my points, please let me know and I will try rephrasing. Thank you!

I don’t believe it boosts the factory sub. I’m pretty sure this amp only drives the front speakers and not all.

Beat Sonic is only a line level amplifier not an actual amplifier. All it really does is give you the perception that your stereo is louder because it gets louder sooner with your volume adjustment. I helped a friend install one and it does not sound any better you just don't have to turn the volume as far. The best upgrade would be to get a line level adapter which isn't available just yet and put a real amplifier in and replace those sorry JBL speakers with something better.

Thank you for the clarification. That makes sense.

It's not a real amplifier it's a line level booster. And you're right it really doesn't do anything to the sub.

Jimmy3711 - This is the email I received from Beat-Sonic when I had the same question:

(from Beat)
Thanks for reaching out with your question regarding the ENA-3T3. I understand there's some conflicting information online, and I'd be happy to clarify.

Regarding the ENA-3T3's compatibility with your 2025 Limited (Hybrid) JBL system, the ENA-3T3 is primarily designed for non-JBL models. As the disclaimer you've seen on our website states, "JBL models will lose volume control on the subwoofer. (Requires separate bass volume control knob)." This means that while the ENA-3T3 can function with a JBL system, the aftermarket subwoofer's volume control will be managed independently, rather than through the head unit.

However, the amplifier itself is compatible with JBL and non JBL models.

If you don't plan on adding an aftermarket subwoofer, the ENA-2T3 is recommended instead.

Best regards,
Ben
