Beat-Sonic ENA-3T3 amp not compatible with Trailhunter

I purchased a Beat - Sonic amp to go into my new Trailhunter, but after struggling with it for over an hour (including taking apart the glove box), I have concluded that because of the space inside the dash taken up by the JBL Flex travel speaker there is no room for the amp. I looked at placing the amp behind the glove box, but even that area was too tight. Oh well.
I put everything back together and called it a day.

I was researching the possibilities for upgrading the JBL audio system in my TRD Off Road Premium, so I reached out to Beat-Sonic customer service in the April time frame with an inquiry about compatibility.

An individual (Ben) responded promptly to my inquiry, providing the following:

“Unfortunately, the ENA-3T3 is not compatible with JBL-equipped vehicles. Instead, we recommend the Beat-Sonic ENA-2T3 Plug and Play Encore Alpha Power Amplifier Kit.“

I’ve been focusing on my higher priority mods (mostly complete now), so I haven’t yet decided whether to pursue the audio upgrade. This seems like a good way to go, though. Has anyone with with the JBL audio upgrade used the ENA-2T3 product? Any impressions you’d care to share with the group?

Install of the Encore ENA-2T3 was very easy in our 2025 TRD ORP Hybrid 4Runner and the result is great, very big audio improvement. Hell, I’m 70 and it was child’s play, go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
