Ive been toying with the different mounts (CaliRaised, 4Runner Lifestyle, etsy…,ect) and come to conclusion to just mount directly on to the OEM panel above the other switches/button.
Process is pretty simple, measure many times and drill once. Keep in mind, the OEM trim panel is NOT squared itself, so select your position/drill holes carefully.
DO NOT DRILL INTO MOUNTING CLIPS (I almost did, but it was mostly calculated lol)
Auxbeam provides a metal mounting bar that conveniently has 2 holes that matches up the mounting holes behind the switch panel.
Next, test fit and cut out a 3/16in notch on the top of the trim for the wire to fold/pass over, 1/2in hole in the inside trim (?) for the connector to pass through.
And voila! Pretty simple mount but very firm, wires tucked away, and without extra plastic that doesnt match OEM style.
ORRR just use 3M double sided tape, lol
Anyways, removing the trim is fairly easy. Easier if you remove the side trim(where the little compartment is) then pull out the mounting trim.
