Armrest squeak

Anybody else experiencing a squeaking sound when your elbow presses down on the door armrest? Mine does it both sides same exact spot. What’s the fix.

Duct tape. Kidding, same issue here. Guessing because that is where I put my arm when getting in the vehicle. I try to not put a lot of weight down. Think the hinges need to be stronger.

I don' think its a hinge problem if where I think the squeak Sween is experiecnig is what I am thinking of.

Does it sounds like its coming from the interior door panel? There have been a few threads and a video from TRD Jon about this. He also had the noise when pulling the door handle to close the door on some occations.

I’ll check that out. Mine comes when you press down on the armrest. The portion toward the rear of the vehicle. The back third- when you press down it makes a loud squeak. Only time it does it. Is the sound coming from the armrest or the inside of the door? Not sure. Once again…thank you.

Mine is definitely from the arm rest because I can hear it while driving as that's where I rest my arm.

Is yours the back portion of the armrest? The part of the armrest toward the backseat?

Mine is more to the front middle. Probably better described as a creak over a squeak.
