Have a 25 Trailhunter. I don't have a need for the ARB rack so looking to remove. For sure will lose the overhead noise and see some MPG increase

Seems fairly simple but checking if anyone else has removed?
  1. What are issues if any?
  2. Once your remove and put the Toyota covers back, does it seal correctly for any potential water issues?

Thanks in Advance

You would need to put the mounting bolts back in and silicone to prevent leaks

I have wasted a ton of time looking for install videos are there are none that I could find. The best post so far is on Facebook, it doesn't really have any details.

Here are the installation instructions which may be useful. Per above... you will need to either buy a delete kit or throw on the factory rails.

QUESTION:
Did you find the rack to be super noisy?

Yes, very noisy with days when very windy like today. Above 65 MPH, it becomes noisy as well

Looking to remove mine.. don't see how I would use it. If I need a roof rack some day I will get one of those low profile full length ones. If you live in AZ and want it come help me remove it and it will be yours for free.

Piece of cake. Toughest part was lifting it off the roof myself. Pit some anchor points into garage Ceiling and used lift straps raising it 4 Inches and then drove out from underneath it.

Took about ten minutes to cover up the tracks with toyota Track parts

Agree lifting it off without scratching the roof or side of the truck is the hardest part. Two people can do it using a blanket to slide the rack on the roof. Its not heavy at all.

Was surprised how light it was.
