I'm local to NOVA...ran a couple of trails around here, as well as more central VA too (Crozet, Shoe Creek), I was always in my Jeep(s), so I'd be interested in doing some trails in the 4Runner now. Y'all typically do an out-and-back, or do a 2-3 day camping run?
Would very much like to get out on the trail with some other 4Runners - especially with "neighbors" from NOVA. I've done all my local wheeling as out and back - would consider a camping weekend for the right venue (e.g., Potts Mtn Jeep Trail near(ish) Roanoke.

I'm interested in getting back out on Union Springs (to Flagpole Knob: Union Springs trail start 11550 Union Springs Rd: 38.47496, -79.07474). And pending the arrival of my first grandchild preventing it, I'm thinking next Friday 7/3 (or Saturday or Sunday) might work if anyone is interested. Its a bit over 2 hours from my Vienna home and I would aim to get there early (8ish) to beat the inevitable crowd.

I've just about decided to do the Rausch Creek guided ride on August 1 (Offroad Consulting Hard Green-Easy Blue Guided Ride). Hope to see some other VA 4Runners there!

And I'm up for my favorite trail, Bald Mtn/Big Levels, almost any weekend past the 4th - its a little over 2.5 hrs from the beltway. Bald Mtn Trailhead - Google Maps
There are some nice first come first served camp sites along the trail.

Here is a list of trails I've done in the area:

- Canaan Loop
- Forest Road 18
- Peters Mill
- Flagpole knob (Union Springs)

I'd say the Canaan loop is still my favorite, although union springs was the most technically fun/challenging. I'd love to test the limits and try something a bit harder, although I'm 100% stock and even on union springs I was using almost all of my clearance.
Done those as well. I’m in Richmond. Down to meet up if something gets planned. I use Gaia GPS. I have a several routes that are mostly between Harrisonburg and Lynchburg Reservoir. Some are 40-60ish miles with mostly dirt. Enchanted Creek is a fun trail with the tunnel. Not technical at all.
