So, I’ve had it happen three times now. Sitting at home during the day, keys on the kitchen counter and the alarm just randomly goes off. It had been parked for over an hour each time.

Anyone else have that issue or know what could cause it?

I had this problem with my 5th gen. One of the door sensors was defective and had to be replaced.

you got a lot of custom lighting if it still happens disconnect all that stuff
(hopefully it's all done with ez to disconnect connectors) and see...

but yeah door switches (courtesy switch)...rare to have a problem in a new vehicle but they
do go bad and can cause pain when they do go bad

On my 5th gen, the switch went bad within less than a month of delivery. The omen may have been the finance manager saying "if you ever have a problem with this vehicle, it will be sensors."

When the alarm went off, I would go to the app and it would indicate which door was detected (falsely) as open. If I recall correctly, it only indicated driver side or passenger side and not the exact door, but it gave a head start in tracking down the problem. Never happened again after the sensor was replaced.

Where is the other key fob!
It’s locked up in my safe. Never been used.

I’ll have to check battery voltage. Read if it dips below 12.3 it could set it off? May be a slight voltage draw.

Aaaaaand of course my app subscription expired! Wonder if I could pull a history thru an ODBII scanner.
