I did not have any instructions on disassembling the console. The part the shifter is on just pops off. Then I removed the 4 bolts in the bottom of the storage area in the center console. There are 2 additional bolts for the console under the part that has the shifter on it. I also removed the piece of the console on the passenger side that I would call a handle. It has 4 bolts. You have to remove 2 dash pieces to access 2 of the bolts.

You need to connect 4 wires for each seat. Ground, Illumination, Ignition on, and 12v. Illumination I tapped into the wire that turns on the light for the shifter. Ignition on I used the wire on the cigarette lighter port. 12v I installed 2 add a fuse in the fuse/relay box on the left side under the hood. I took the wires into the cabinet through the boot for the speedometer cable.

The seats come out with 4 bolts each. There are multiple plugs that have to be disconnected once you unbolt the seats. With the seats out, remove the plastic around the bottom of each seat. Remove the 4 bolts holding on the back of the seat. I am used to hog ring holding on the seat covers. The new Toyota’s use some kind of new plastic clips. The upholstery comes off fairly easy. Use a small screw driver to assist with taking the upholstery plastic out of the clips.

Hopefully that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Very helpful! How did you identify the illumination wire?

I just installed the Clazzio heaters in my SR5, and I love the overall result. Thanks a lot to Slamkad for the directions.
I did two things differently than how you did it-
* I attached the heater pads under an aftermarket seat cover. I did not want to mess with the factory upholstery, and I love the looks of these seat covers. they look like OEM
* I tapped the main power for the heaters from the fuse box under the glove compartment. I wanted to avoid routing wires through the firewall. this fuse box already had fuses for left and right seat heaters, I suppose they are for other trims with heated seats.

I created an account to post that I am in the same process of doing this. I saw that the interior fuse box came with a 15 amp fuse for the left and right heated seats and was hoping I could find where that lead. I ended up going the same route that hasib31 djd. I will try and take some photos.

The only "issue" so far is I found the switches did not exactly fit. They had two raised sections on the "front facing" edge that prevented them from seating and locked. I shaved them off with an xActo knife.

The fuses for the OEM heated seats are already switched to the ignition. They dont have power when the vehicle is off. This was ones less connection to be made. I was able to tie the ignition signal leads right into the main 12 volt power lead. The only tap into the vehicle I needed to make was the illumination signal wire.

Hummm, I can't seem to upload photos?

I chose to use 14 awg copper wire. It takes 6 feet to comfortably reach the center console. The 14 awg copper wire can handle a 15 amp load without generating heat and there is only a calculated 2% voltage drop.

I chose to run both seats on a single run leaving the other run for a small, 150 watt, inverter.

I wrapped the two wires in 1/4" PET braided loom.

I mounted the heater control modules using 3M doubled sided tape. To prevent the wires from being abraded by a metal bracked I sliced some 1/8" tubing to act as an edge guard.

As it turned out the OEM 15 amp fuse locations for the heated seats are already switched to the ignition.

I didn't do a good job photographing this but I modified the supplied harness and connected the 12 volt supply and ignition signal wires together and I used a stud on the bottom of the console for a ground.

The illumination signal was found at the shifter. The 12 volt wire is light blue.

I pulled out the blue wire some, shaved off a small part of the insulation, tinned the wire, and added a 8" lead. I then wrapped it all back up in tape to mimic how it looked from the factory....except I used zip-ties to attach it back to the bracket.

I stuck the heat pads to the back of the EKR seat covers and installed the seat covers. Added a little bit of gaffers tape at the top and bottom to help ensure they stay in place.

Just waiting on the inverter to show up before I put the console back.

I ran the truck for an hour with both sets of high. I found no heating of the harness or install components anywhere along the install path from the fuse tap all the way back to the modules.

Hope that helps someone.
