And let’s just say I’m not too stoked with the QC on these. I ordered the protection rings from RRW a few months back and waited (impatiently) for them to finally get made and anodized. Well I got them in the mail today and every single ring has some type of scratch or imperfection. Pretty upset considering these are almost $200 a piece and while I know they’ll get dinged up eventually, I wouldn’t expect to have to install a brand new ring with scratches. I sent an email to RRW, waiting on their reply but for those of you interested in buying these you might want to wait for some better quality controls in their shipping department.

they should be spotless...RRW is doing a dirty if they don't replace them
their website photos show very clean versions

they must have just been laid around or on top of each other
after the anodizing procedure and got scraped/dinged.

Those are very minor imperfections. They will be scuffed and nicked eventually so there is no point in complaining for new ones. Just put a light spray of paint on it and call it good.

RRW’s response:

“Thank you for reaching out, and I sincerely apologize for your disappointment. I completely understand that when you're investing in a premium set of protection rings, you expect a perfect finish - especially after a long wait.

Our team does inspect these as they come back from anodizing and again before they are boxed. However, due to the nature of the anodizing process - where parts are hung on racks to be dipped - small surface imperfections can sometimes occur like the ones you're seeing. We aim for the highest quality possible, and I will certainly share your photos and feedback with our production team to ensure we’re maintaining the standards our customers expect.

We appreciate your patience with this, and sorry for the inconvenience.”

I guess I didn’t really know what to expect but not offering any type of fix and only providing an excuse is probably the least amount of effort a company can put forward (with the exception of not replying at all).
